At St. Philip's, we have one Sunday service at 9.30am (9.00am in the summer - please check our homepage for current service times). This alternates each week between the Book of Common Prayer (BCP) and the Book of Alternative Services (BAS). Some of our services are led by a priest (Communion will be offered) whilst others are led by lay members of the parish (no Communion available). You can view or download the full texts of our services in the files below.

Book of Common Prayer (BCP)

This is a quiet, reflective service, using the traditional language of the Book of Common Prayer. There are no hymns in this service. After the service, you are welcome to join us for coffee and cakes and friendly conversation.

Book of Alternative Services (BAS)

This service features hymns and primarily uses resources from the Anglican Church of Canada although we also use modern liturgy from other sources, such as the Church of England's Common Worship and the Anglican Church of New Zealand. We may also use the Liturgy for the Islands - a liturgy developed within the Diocese of British Columbia which reflects the special nature of life on the islands and inlets of the Diocese.
